Hi, I want to share my experience applying for a M&M credit card and some issues I have encountered.

In case it's relevant, my country is Germany. As my travel patterns have changed due to COVID, I decided to apply for a M&M credit card. There was an interesting offer with a 20.000 award miles welcome bonus with the gold so I decided to apply for that one. During the process they ask for my M&M traveler ID; when I entered it, and as the system knows I have the FT tier, the system informs that I cannot apply for this card and my only option is the FT credit card, which awards a lower (4.000 miles) welcome bonus, but in exchange offers accrual of status miles so I go ahead. My status expires on February 2022 in case I don' requalify, so when the card arrived, I see that the expiration of this credit card is also February 2022. To me it doesn't make much sense to apply for a credit card that expires in 5 months, and now I don't know what will happen once it will expire; I assume that the card will be blocked and I don't know if I need to apply for a new one (without another welcome bonus as the M&M website explains) or they will send me a new one.

I will appreciate if anyone has experienced this process and can explain what can I expect in February.
