You are very mistaken, Alaska has Premium Class, which has extra legroom and complementary adult beverages, and those benefits are now, not at some point in the future. Plus you can pre-order food on longer flights, like their excellent fruit and cheese plate. AA elites have the same access to complementary Premium class seats as they would for MCE, although without the free companions.
