I've stayed at the MO once. The rooms are beautiful, and I had a very nice view of the Golden Gate Bridge, but it felt very sterile to me. My personal favorite in SF (and the favorite of many FTers) is the RC, especially their club floor. The views may not be great, but the hotel itself is beautiful. Why have you ruled it out?
