Just had a one-way rental and was wondering if I could select cars from the Premier Selection with some additional charge. The manager said "No", because I was 24 years old. I didn't find any description of this restriction on their website. Does anyone know if young renters are eligible for the Premier Selection? The underage surcharge for drivers between the ages of 18 and 20 is $64.50 per day. The underage surcharge for drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 is $24.50per day. Renters between the ages of 18 and 20 may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Intermediatesize. Renters between the ages of 21 and 24 may rent the following vehicle classes: Economy through Full Size cars, Cargo and Minivans, and Compact, Small and Standard SUVs with seating up to 5 passengers.
It's probably dependent on the station/which station manager is on duty that day and who is at the gate. YUL didn't even allow me to take a pickup truck at first due to age, but let me through after checking with enterprise that they indeed rent out pickup trucks to under 25. At LAS I was let through with a BMW 228 on a luxury reservation the first night, however got stopped with a Q5 with luxury reservation on another night.
