No real reason... I ended up cancelling that with IB and booked another ticket through BA.com on AA and IB metal. All flights had BA#s on the receipt and it claims I'm booked into O, but AA's website once again shows the two AA flights with AA #s and pulled through the amount paid, etc. I think I should be fine with this, but AAs site does say I won't earn anything. New flights are to MAD instead of AMS as well.
