Hyatt Alternative When Necessary - aka who is second best in 2021?

This may be a weird post / place to put this, but hear me out. Until this year, I booked a lot of Priceline/Hotwire. Now, I have been way more loyal to Hyatt. That said, I have some crazy flights and mileage runs coming up, and Seattle by the airport isn't Hyatt friendly. I'll use Hyatt for my Florida stays and maybe ONE day go into the city, but I have 3 other nights I should book...somewhere.

As we all know, Hyatt is the best. Sure, not ALWAYS, but generally, everyone complains on the other loyalty programs far more in my opinion. That said... if I were to stay at a non-Hyatt, particularly in Seattle but I am also looking at one day by LAX that isn't the Hyatt Regency because the price is too high for such a short sleep when I live 45 minutes away and yet too low to burn a category or points on (and perhaps I am secretly being a snob about being sad if I DID book said Regency I wouldn't earn 3x points for the 1 night stay)... what is your go to alternative brand and do they have current promotions I need to register for?

Finally, here's to hoping for a good new promo come September 15th. My one day stays mostly fall right before the promotion 3x points for 2 night stays ends, and then my multiple night stays all begin right after the promotion, ack! LOL
