When the charge finalized, it is dated 9/1, as does the $20 credit. I am guessing I missed out on my August credit and used my September one?
The date of the credit doesn't matter, in my case it's been the day after the charge. I would think that the charge will have counted as August, and the system recognized it as such when you got the email.
