Enjoyable Return Visit Sept 2021
All in all another very, very pleasant stay at The St. Regis San Francisco
, our first time back since the "before times" of 2019. Chef Concierge Daniel Rey, the Front Desk Team and the Ambassador Service were very helpful with pre-arrival arrangements. Special thanks to the St. Regis Team for their assistance with a wonderful floral arrangement and the additional bottle of sparking was also very much appreciated!
The property is not currently accepting SNA requests. We were pre-upgraded into an Astor Suite and on arrival upgraded further to our "usual" Metropolitan Suite for an additional $100/night charge. Originally booked in the largest non suite room/exec prem. Room remains in good shape post the late 2019 fluff with minor attention needed for paint on air return and wall covering in shower/toilet room
The Grill restaurant remains closed/Lobby Lounge operating Thur-Sat reduced hours. We visited the Lobby Lounge after checking in. Prompt service and as in all San Francisco dining establishments, proof of vaccination is required for seating.
Room Service available & we chose breakfast as our amenity. Food very good, service generally prompt, however, they were a little "slammed" on Sunday. Rooms are cleaned daily, turn down service is still suspended.
The property remains our favorite "goto" in San Francisco and we look forward to future visits. Coincidently this stay put me over the top for Ambassador renewal.
