The attention to detail of Barclay (and Wyndham) leaves a lot to be desired. I have one of the older Wyndham cards with $20,000 line of credit, have had it a number of years, always paid in full every month on time, etc. I tried to get one of the new cards, because it looked like points earned were more advantageous. They required a copy of my drivers license (twice) and other assorted foolishness to the extent that I said forget it. I got the original Wyndham card when they took over LaQuinta, but in both cases, Barclay and Wyndham, my experience has generally been unsatisfactory. I am currently spending just enough to maintain the account while getting rid of my Wyndham points before the 4-year expiration (another irritation!) but once that happens, I am done with both Barclay and Wyndham. They deserve each other, and for the rest of us, there are better options out there.
