Seat selection: one time only, then no changes?
Well this seems new.
I made a domestic Econo reservation via my corporate travel agent, but couldn't complete seat selection on their site. Once I pulled that new reservation into my WestJet app, I went to select my seats.
On that seat selection page on the WS app, I was greeted with a big warning ... something to the effect of: "YOU CAN ONLY SELECT SEATS ONCE FOR THIS ITINERARY." It went on to add that, once selected, I would not be able to change my seats.
I'm Platinum, and my Platinum seat selection benefit did work (i.e. I didn't have to pay). But ... what's up with this "one time only then you can never change it" thing? Is this new?
FWIW, the seats that I selected are fine and I doubt I'd want to change them. But I've never seen this before, and it struck me as odd!
