Sept 7, 2021 Update: Less than three weeks and counting...
Had a bit of a scare yesterday with a change to Singapore's rules for PCR testing to transit at Changi. The main change is that you need to be tested within 48 hours of departure, but fortunately I had planned on testing within this window to be within 72 hours of the last direct flight to Dubai. Where I had a minor panic attack was I mis-read the new regulations and thought a QR code was required on the test certificate (it is recommended, not required). Bottom line is after my panic inspired call to the testing center, finding out they do put a QR code on the certificate and then shamefully realizing it actually wasn't a requirement... I finally calmed down. Travel is stressful in normal times, but wow, it's bad now.
Fingers crossed no other major entry requirements change in the next few weeks!
On the fun side of planning, we ended up making reservations for High Tea at At.mosphere in the Burj Khalifa. This looked like a really fun and relaxing way to take in the view.
