I cannot comment on the latest Rimowa, because since the takeover it went down the "lifestyle" road and I am not sure how it influenced quality. These days they're all four wheelers, which is a big turnoff for me.

I am not sure if my 15 or so years old cases will be still usable in another 15 or 20 years - the Rimowas tend to get banged up. The good thing is that if they are very banged up, they can be repaired, frame re-aligned, etc.
