Maybe those in the normal queues listen to what they’re being told and remove everything from their bags? Maybe the FastTrack is full of people who think they know better? I don’t know, I just remove everything and seldom have an issue.

One issue I did have I’ve mentioned on here before. The X-Ray staff spotted what what they thought were bullets in my carry-on. They searched the bag but couldn’t find anything. Eventually they called me over and asked could I account for the bullet like shapes in my bag. After a few seconds I realised they were my metal collar stifferners in my work shirts Damn you Charles Tyrwhitt.
