After much procrastination, and some prompting by
RangerNS we have finalized the activities and locations for the DO. The Wiki has been updated with the activities, including links to the various establishments.
For those arriving Friday night or Saturday morning we have organized 3 optional daytime activities:
- Visit Peggy's Cove and lunch at the Sou'Wester restaurant. This is the place that you see on most Nova Scotia ads. Just don't venture out on the black rocks....
- Walking tour of Citadel Hill and other local historic landmarks.
- Walking along the Halifax waterfront with a visit to the Pier 21 Immigration Museum and ending at Casino Nova Scotia (almost the same as being in Vegas)
The Pre-Do (5:00pm) will be held at either the Lower Deck pub or the Split Crow pub.
Dinner (7:00pm) will be at Salty's (upstairs) on the waterfront (link in the wiki above). The menu on the website will be expanded later this month as they get the full kitchen back in operation.
Post-Do Drinks will be at the Bitter End cocktail bar.
Late Night Activities will include a visit to Pizza Corner for donairs. Traditionally
canadiancow hosts the late, late, late night activities in his room, and
codfather has promised to teach everyone traditional Newfoundland drinking songs!!
We are hoping for a big event, so please update the wiki with your attendance (hopefully not your regrets).
