Sorry in advance for the long post...
I wanted to add something that I discovered as a Barclay Aviator Business card holder, which may affect others with this card as well.
Barclay Business used to have a different site to manage your acct, and they merged it into the regular barclaycardus.com in mid-August.
After the merge, I looked at my statement online, and any transactions which were moved from the old site to the new one (before the mid-August cutover) showed me earning no miles. I figured it was a display bug due to the site changeover.
When I got my statement, I paid it as usual. The statement was for a little over $5k. I checked my AA acct yesterday morning , and it only shows 926 miles posted from the Barclay Business card for that statement, instead of the 5k+. When I totaled up the transactions made after the website cutover, they totaled $926 - so the 'display bug' was actually an accrual bug on their side.
I've sent an bunch of messages back and forth via their internal 'contact us' forms, and they somewhat admit there's a problem, but have no resolution at this point. Overall, most of the folks seemed clueless - as an example, they directed me on how to request missing miles from a flight, and explained to me how I earn miles by spending with their card.
Anyway - to make a long story short - if you have a Barclay Aviator Business card, audit the miles posted to AA vs what should have been posted based on your statement. It'd suck to come up short in the promo because of an error on their part, and be told tough sh!t by AA or Barclay. That's why I'm going to keep after them while I have time to spare. It looks like phone calls are in order.
