As for the $10 credit, it's not a separate line item on the bill, it's just deducted from something sort of at random. So instead of a $38 charge for room service, it'll just show $28 with no overt mention of the credit.
Slots are for sure the easiest way. But, you have to weigh the theoretical loss to really understand if it's even worthwhile. I mean, it can be like saying you got a great deal on something that actually cost you 3x++ as much. The key, if you desire to play slots, or are a slot player, is to be strategic about it. I am often amazed at how much slot players hurt themselves not being strategic. Getting free rooms when they should be getting free suites. Getting $100 free play when it should be $500. Getting $50 F&B when it should be $300. I could go on and on and on.
The casino loyalty game is "real," but it is 1000000x more nuanced than the travel loyalty "game."
