Will CIBC Aerogold change their cancellation policy to consider the upcoming changes?

What if I fall sick on the day of departure? Normally, a paid ticket covered by a cancellation insurance provided by many premium credit cards would be reimbursed.

This looks will soon look like Airmiles. They are the only ones whose (not cheap) insurance allows to have the points reinstated for a valid reason.
