As silly as it may sound to some, but these days, I take a close look when schedules have been changed / are impacted, on whether to cancel and refund if possible or press ahead with changing a ticket.
By right, changing and reissuing should be a simple affair, but currently it can be asking for trouble and headaches. So if I have a reasonable alternative option to book needed flights, I'll go for that (cleaner) approach. YMMV.
