You should be incredibly alert. I spent total of 7 hours on the phone with Lufthansa (two weeks ago) trying to get my ticket issued, cc given two or three times. Told 4 days before departure would be issued, next morning not issued, then told only 24 hours when it would be sent to urgent ticketing. Not issued 24 hours in advance, called, told 3-4 hours, knew nothing would happen, called back, told within next hour. Knew nothing would happen, woke up next morning, day of departure, of course nothing had happened… still three hours before the flight they told me not to worry will be issued.
In the end, basically read them the riot act, one ticket got issued, my partner’s… …cancelled. Thankfully agent at airport managed to get it issued 5 min before check in cut off.
Lufthansa basically ruined the last day of my holiday - fairly sure that all recordings of what are lies, ineptitude and incompetence will have “quality issues”.
Had paid for ticket with seat selection, their inability to reissue means you cannot select a seat, cannot upgrade or bid for upgrade (both which I wanted to do) so also didn’t deliver product paid for. Of course ended up in almost last row, on A220 flight in row of three when we were two etc…
Always had a good impression of Lufthansa until this experience.
