I would recommend taking the boat taxi to Saffron at Banyan Tree. It’s setting is absolutely incredible, and check out Banyan Tree resort for a bit (we got pre-dinner drinks at their rooftop bar). The food is insanely overpriced, but it’s decent Thai food and worth the splurge IMO.
The food is very westernized, i.e., bland and over sweetened. They would not make it spicy for us.
We felt Saffron was worth it for the setting and atmosphere nonetheless.
