I traveled to Austria a couple of weeks ago (resident of the United Arab Emirates).

There was a document check in DXB at the time of check-in and I was fully vaccinated (both Sinopharm doses in Feb and both Pfizer doses in July) - 15 days had elapsed since my second Pfizer dose. I had also taken a PCR test before departure in case it was asked at any stage (though technically it was not required). At VIE, the immigration officer saw my the vaccination certificate displayed in the Al Hosn app (UAE's contact tracing, PCR & vaccination status app) and gave me a piece of paper which presumably allowed me to skip quarantine. Further down the corridor, some people in military uniform took the paper and asked me to go to one side of a two-lane path.

In Vienna it was pretty smooth - all establishments asked for proof of negative PCR or vaccination and the UAE vaccination certificate seemed more than adequate for their requirements. Many of them were surprised to see four doses of the vaccine listed on it. No masks were worn in any outdoor areas which took some getting used to on my part - I definitely felt anxious without it for the first day or so. The PCR test I needed for my return cost 90 euros but I got my result in two hours which was great. The staff at the testing center were extremely apologetic about the test result "taking so long" to be delivered which I found hilarious (because here it takes at least 4-5 hours for the free PCR test at DXB T3).

The weather was gorgeous - sunny, blue skies for the most part with cloudy mornings (but no rain). Staff in restaurants and the hotel seemed genuinely happy to have guests there and it was a great trip overall.
