Just realised that today is my last day to spend £835 to qualify for the companion voucher on my BA Amex. I've been using my Platinum more recently, and haven't spent much on the BA card, so I'm kicking myself for not paying more attention. I've chatted with the Amex customer services guys and they've said that I'll need the £835 to have cleared pending and to appear on my card balance today. Is there a merchant who will do that? I've already got a pending transaction on my account that would trigger the voucher, but I don't think it'll post by close of business today. If it makes a difference, I'm in the US on business at the moment.
