So not long ago when you searched for hotels, the website would also list the hotel category when you select to use points.
Now as of the last week or two, it just shows the point total so you have no idea what the hotel category is. You can't even sort by category any more, and the only way to find out the category is to click on the hotel and then click again for the link to the hotel main website.

Apparently Marriott wants to hide and make it very difficult to determine the actual category so you don't know if it is a standard or peak redemption rate.
