On Friday, my wife and I spent a night in a hotel in nearby Canada. I accidentally went for a long walk with a friend and had my wife’s car keys with me which had her Airtag on it. By the time I got back to the hotel, my iPhone alerted me to her tag on me. I never got home. All locations had no recorded history in the system. The tag was in my possession for about three hours.
