The only conceivable reason she would need a paid Platinum AU now would be if she travels independent of you and makes frequent use of the lounge or if you regularly travel in large groups and need to bring in additional free guests under her card (you are currently permitted two free guests).

Moving forward, in 2023 when the Guest Policy changes, you can reevaluate. It is a $175 Annual Fee for the paid AU stacked up against $50 per visit guest fee. If you are only going to the lounge 3 times or fewer then you can just pay $150/$100/$50 total for those entries as opposed to $175 for the paid Platinum AU.
hmmm, does it give the option when I'm applying for the platinum card to give my spouse an AU "platinum gold card"? imnotalawyer

EDIT: i was able to find an article about this. My other question is, in regard to priority pass, I know the platinum gets the access etc...does that network allow guests as well? I know about centurion lounge until 2023, but what about priority pass lounges? I think we might be frequenting those more, honestly, compared to centurion lounges (all this is in expectance of traveling more, etc...)
