That two-year-ago event came and went quickly, and was regarded more as wishful thinking rather than based in fact. Of course, that could just be the cynicism that was Tucson redevelopment for decades. The hotel owner was looking for a large payday from the city and it appears a deal may have been reached. Another possibility is that Hyatt gets mention as it has no major property in the city, while Hilton, Marriott and even Loews have been players for years.
