When I went a few weeks ago, there was a 3 person limit on cabs. As such, my family took the metro while in Athens (very easy from the Hilton), and used a private transfer service to/from the airport and Piraeus. The transfer service we used charged the same price for those trips as a taxi, but was willing to accomodate 4 pax.
