Advice where we can travel in EU if vaccine passport not on app / not EMA approved
I wasn't sure if this should be in the vaccine passport thread, please move if so.... but as it was a specific question, I wasn't sure what was the right thing to do!
My family had 1 vaccine of Covishield abroad, and 2nd vaccine Vaxzevria in UK. We have a letter from GP saying 'fully vaccinated' but obviously it notes that one is Covishield. At this point we cannot get it onto the NHS app, so don't have a QR code, just our letter. I also appreciate some European countries don't yet accept Covishield as it's not EMA approved.
My parents are desperate to take a small break, but I'm worried where to confirm that they can go. They wanted to go to Denmark, but I believe Denmark specifically only allows EMA vaccines at this point, so that won't work as one of ours is Covishield.
I also believe some countries will only accept the app, and not a letter.
Can anyone tell me if any European countries will let them travel with just this letter and not quarantine as they are 'fully vaccinated'? I've been trying so hard to research it, but I'm hoping someone has had a smooth experience that they can tell me about... I'd love to help them take a few days away somewhere in Europe with as little stress as possible.
I appreciate fully that the rules can change in a moment, but knowing what is possible today would be incredibly helpful and really appreciated.. Thank you.
