Otherwise there is no such facility, you have to clear German immigration and collect your bags with AA (in T2D) take the bus/skytrain to T1A and check in with Lufthansa and clear immigration again to T1B.

I was debating taking a checked bag from CLE-ORD-FRA-MUC all on one PNR UA-LH-LH. So I could check in CLE and not have to touch my bag again until MUC? Or would I need to claim in FRA as I enter there?
