Flight in late June of 2022, so I know a lot could happen in regards to equipment swaps. But I'm curious about a couple things, as this is my first time flying longhaul with BA and will be our first on a plane with our baby. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the perfect seats for us (myself, wife and 19 month old lap baby at time of flight) would be 16E and 16F. The infant is not yet on the ticket, as she will only be added to the return portion of this trip, so I still need to call to add her.
1. I assume 16E&F are automatically blocked out to save that space for future bookings with infants.
2. Are those seats saved for any lap infants, or only those who will utilize a cot? She will be too big for a cot.
3. Even though this return portion of the trip is not until June, does it make sense to call in now to try to reserve 16E and 16F, assuming we qualify?
4. In case, we don't qualify for those seats. I'd appreciate any recommendations for seat selection to minimize our anxiety of disturbing other passengers.
