Of course. That's also why many airlines initially fob off legitimate EU261 claims etc., confident that the majority will give up instead of trying again.

But bear in mind that TK is no more prone to service disruptions than any other major airline out there. In other words, 99% of the time you will be just fine and able to enjoy what is in most respects a very good J product, as well as their spanking new IST hub, which is a lot better than most other major hubs. We are not talking about Spirit Airlines here.
I'm not a very frequent TK flier (I was M&S Gold for a few years, but that's a while ago), but I've been flying them for years, and have had only one issue where they canceled a longhaul flight and instead of rebooking me on their other flight that day they rebooked me on a flight the day after. It took some effort to resolve, but I got the flight I wanted.
Bottom line: I give TK my business when it is the best option, and accept the risk of service disruption, just like with any other airline.
