Thanks FlyerBeek for your reply - decided not to risk the same day connection and have booked to travel MIA-MCO on one of the next morning flights. I have had so much hassle even on domestic to international connections at MIA in the past I just didn't want more of the same with this trip.

Global321 - we decided against changing our car hire to MIA as really didn't fancy the drive up to MCO either on the Turnpike or US27 and getting there around midnight.

One quick question - all booked on one ticket will we use the normal transfer procedure for the bags or pick the bags up and recheck in next morning? TIA
