Breakfast remains served from a menu. The menu has been revised to include Eggs Florentine, Pain au Chocolate, Herbal Teas, Rice Krispies , Special K and Coco Pops.

Service is within the main restaurant area which gives it a much better feel than the previous use of area at the back. You can now watch the goings on over in the park whilst at your table due to the view of Black Lion Gate. During my stay I had Eggs Florentine, Avocado toast, Croissant and Pain au Chocolate. Coffee is served in a metal cafetiere. In my opinion breakfast is much improved from the pre covid offering. Only negative comment re breakfast was the eggs didn't have much taste, this was on different days too.

Hotel appears to be attracting a number of younger staycation-ing couples and US visitors.

I had no trouble checking in slightly early than the official check in time but that wasn't the case with any one else in reception. One group with two rooms only had one ready and another couple checking in was given a time to return that was later in the day past the official checkin time. Not sure if my success was due to Diamond or fluke. On checkout day late checkout requested in the morning due to change of plans. Only a 1 hour extension provided.
