I believe in the case of EDW it wouldn't be fair to compare it to VW vs Audi. It is also vastly superior to Eurowings.

Edelweiss, while targeted at a different market segment, is on par and sometimes actually superior to LX with regards to service. (Think hot meals on European flights and Business Class service on longhaul which is very similar and imho often even more personal and friendlier), not to mention the Sennheiser Headphones I prefer over the LX ones).
While it does brand itself as a holiday airline I know that some routes are relatively Business heavy, such as San Jose.

I personally love to fly EDW, but since as an SK member I get 0 miles I have no incentive to fly them and I sadly actively avoid EDW. Up until 2017 EDW was the airlines that I flew the most!

And as I've been saying on this forum for years, I would love for EDW to finally be properly integrated in to *A as a *A connect partner. I really don't see why not...
