1. IAD: The United terminal is horrible. Everything about it is bad and has been bad since I first started flying United in 2004. The lounges are terrible, the gate areas are too small, there are long walks, the restaurants aren't great either.

5. DEN: Two terrible UCs but otherwise a fine airport, new gate areas are nice too.
For IAD, I will book any domestic trip with long connection time, especially, the short hop with CRJ2/ERJ145 to Concourse A1-A6 gates so that I have sufficient amount of time to visit TK/LH lounge.

For DEN, do not forget the “mile long” walk from one end to another end of Concourse B. There are also some departures/arrivals on Concourses A and C.
