Both wife and I closed our HA CCards over 3 years ago. We are considering going to Hawaii next year and could use the 70k miles x 2 plus companion discounts (which we never used before).
Before applying and forking $200 on annual fees, it would be good to get some reassurance if we would be eligible to get the miles.

I would say that if you are approved you will get the miles. Go for it. In all my yrs of applying for cards I've never seen anyone who got a new card, met the spend, and didn't get the bonus miles/points. JMHO.
