We will be arriving ca. 15.15 on a Thursday (Dec. 2) which I see from the Dulles website link is one of the busiest times. But I'm not too concerned; I was more curious about what to expect regarding changing terminals and transport.

We will enjoy Florida! We've been there several times in the past, last time in 2000. Just needed a short (two-week) warm weather break since early December is some of the darkest, gloomiest time in Denmark.

Now if I can just get UA to give me good seats on the TED flight. I called today but they claim that 80% of the seats are assigned at the gate, so couldn't pre-reserve in premium economy for me.
