A year ago, the 175-year-old Crown Plaza hotel in the center of Heidelberg closed as a victim of the Covid-19 crisis. The older inhabitants of the city still called it Hotel Schrieder.

Yesterday It was announced that it will reopen as Hilton Heidelberg in the course of next year, after a complete renovation inside and out. And as if time has stood still in this historic university town: it will even possess an executive lounge.

Heidelberg is roughly in the middle of the Hilton-family triangle Strasbourg, Stuttgart and Frankfurt/Main(z).
