Hi Folks,
Wondering if anyone else has seen these two issues. I signed up for the Reserve Card near the end of July 2021 and received my first statement a few days ago (so only one billing period complete so far). Therefore I should be eligible for the summer Amex bonuses they were offering this summer on the Reserve.
1. One offer noted that a member would earn 5k pts for each of the first 6 billing periods during which spending was $1k+. As far as I remember the conditions, you have to spend the $1k each month for six months, you could not spend $6k in one month to max out the points. I spent $15k+ in the first billing period, and earned a 10k bonus (instead of 5k) points. This is obviously in my favour, so I am not complaining. But the question is, has anyone seen that Amex is not forcing people to spread the spend over 6 months to get the full max points? I ask because if others are seeing this, I may be willing to do the full $6k spend upfront. (I know, they can always take the points back if the conditions are not met).
2. Did anyone else notice that the T&Cs of the Reserve that members receive in the mail make no reference to the SQM rollover or eUpgrade rollover? How can this be? Is this not a permanent feature of the card?

Interestingly, a Terms and Conditions card that came with my black card states:
5. "A Basic Cardmember and eligible Supplementary Cardmember(s) are each entitled to offer one (1) guest complimentary access to any MLL located in Canada and the US, including international MLLs in Canada and the US when travelling on an international itinerary. Access excludes Signature Suites and lounges operated by third parties... Any guest entering a MLL must be accompanied by an eligible Basic Cardmember or eligible Supplementary Cardmember. ... Access is subject to space availability. See
www.aircanada.com/lounges-termsandconditions for applicable MLL Terms and Conditions."
So, might want to check that out
