Good to know. Good news is we still have qsuites booked for DOH-US so I won't miss it entirely, it just feels like a bit of a bait and switch to have paid for the full trip in QSuites and seeing some of that pulled.
I understand the frustration but in all honesty, no airline can guarantee an onboard product and I think QR might be the nicest for offering a free change due even when the "inferior" product is the same as many airlines' premier offering (assuming reverse herringbone). Also no other airline that I am aware of proactively offers this option to switch.
