Is it possible to book Loganair flights with Avios?

Also, it seems to be more expensive to book a London-Islay flight as one ticket on BA than it is to book as 2 separate tickets (London-Glasgow with BA; Glasgow to Islay with Loganair). That is clearly risking cancellation/no connection protection, however is Loganair quite relaxed about this? Or very strict?
