From the Telegraph:
Seven countries have been added to the UK's green list and two countries are going on the red list, Grant Shapps has announced.
The Azores, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and Lithuania have been upgraded from amber to green. There are no additions to the amber list.
Shapps also announced that Thailand and Montenegro will be downgraded to the red list. This means that arrivals from these countries face a mandatory ten-day hotel quarantine on return to England. Montenegro is the first European country to go red, after seeing a significant spike in Covid-19 cases.
The announcement dashes hopes that Turkey and Pakistan could move from the red list to the amber list.
The changes will come into effect from 4am on Monday, August 30.
