Already a UA 1K, so for me the most useful benefit has been being able to book a room in a sold out hotel with at least 48 hour notice. Only used a few times, but huge difference between being walking distance from my meetings (or actually in the hotel where the meeting was held) and having to deal with transport/public transit from far away. Had to call to get it but no issues with the phone agent booking a room.
