Another way of looking at it, JUST the 1,000 points per night from the 70-100 milestone bonuses is nearly $20 per night's worth of points.
But everybody's entitled to their own opinion, especially if they don't feel like doing math or staying in Hyatt suites on holiday...
I agree everyone is entitled to their own opinion but when you do the math, it makes more sense to have $6000 in your hand. And you're assuming that you're going to get a Hyatt promo that gives you an extra 1000 points per night but that isn't guaranteed or known. Not to mention Hyatt is soon going to peak/off peak pricing which is going to skew the redemption values as well and peak times are going to cost a fair bit more devaluing your stash of Hyatt points.
