Regardless I think the OP just needs to reach out to the hotel and see what they're willing to do. Best case scenario would be earning Hyatt points and stay credit while also getting a discount.
Triple points + Globalist tier bonus works out to a 30% rebate for me. Plus all the Milestone bonuses and even more if I had the Hyatt credit card. So yeah... I'm DEFINITELY paying $150 / night with benefits instead of $100 per night.
Another way of looking at it, JUST the 1,000 points per night from the 70-100 milestone bonuses is nearly $20 per night's worth of points.
But everybody's entitled to their own opinion, especially if they don't feel like doing math or staying in Hyatt suites on holiday...
