I have found one good use for the credit; pantry items. I am not going to overpay for a bad breakfast (or any meal), even if part of it is comp'd, so I have just been completely forgoing the credit on my stays, and I'm sure that the franchisees were very happy about this breakage. However, recently, a helpful desk agent at a Doubletree suggested that I at least get some pantry items for my credit. I am so stupid, I'd never even thought of that. So I got a couple of sodas and a Lorna Doone cookie pack for about $8- of my $15- credit and was happy. I'll be doing this on my future stays, so no more F+B credit breakage for this guy!
