What is the benefit of using gift cards at all? Do people buy them at a discount or something? Just seems like such a hassle. Also, it seems stupid, but I do feel like the staff (especially in Asian hotels) will treat you better if you pay the incidentals with a special credit card (like Centurion or even JPM Reserve).
