SEN also gives some additional perks specific to LH group (plus LO and some other airlines that use the system) like free choice of seats in exit rows, blocked middle seat in certain situations even when flying economy, better award availability (e.g. F on LX) etc. so if you actually decide to mainly fly LH/OS/LX/LO it is better than just regular *G. Plus, this year it's really easy to get SEN. I basically only had one long haul roundtrip in Z class (FRA-BOG), some intra-Europe and domestic flights in economy and with the various bonuses (double status miles, additional 7k bonus and 30k from the credit card) I already have 95k status miles and will probably reach SEN in two weeks.
