I'm flying AC from YYZ to YYC for a week on Thursday and am trying to decide if taking a checked bag is worth it with all the horror stories of lost luggage and delays that have been making their rounds these past couple weeks.

Has anyone heard if things are starting to get less chaotic at all? I could probably make a carry on work in a pinch but having a checked bag would make things so much easier.
