You've nailed it and that sadly sums up British Cuisine in the main IMO - I do not care what restaurants are on offer this is what you would be offered in the majority of British or Irish households. The beef would be - as my husband calls it - cooked to bu***ry (I blush as I type the words). Boring boring boring - and have you seen these Botanical Dessert things? Im surprised that they're not serving Elderflower and Ginger Wine. Revolting.
